Bert Braunsteiner
Bert began painting over 20 years ago – 15 of those years have
been spent working with his favorite medium…acrylics. The name of his art
studio is a reflection of his painting style “Impressionistic Impressions” by Bert. His studio is filled with over 200 finished paintings, which he considers to be his “friends”
and his inspiration. The acrylic paintings that Bert creates are sometimes very
large, but they are always full of very vibrant colors and energy. He believes
them to be a reflection of a true colorist’s view of the world. Many of
his paintings are of landscapes, seascapes and lighthouses, as well as his new venue “Expressionistic Abstracts”
Bert’s paintings hang in private collections throughout the United
States including North Carolina, Tennessee, Iowa, New York and Michigan (of course).
He also is an international artist with works in Alberta and Manitoba, Canada.
In addition to painting, Bert also happens to be a talented metal sculptor. He says “I found out I really enjoy forming and bending steel that is over 1000
degree Fahrenheit into visual art.
Bert is past president of the Richmond Art Association and also belongs
to the Lapeer Art Association. He has done a solo artist show at the Troy Library
and displays his art at several outdoor-juried art fairs including Harbor Beach, Algonac.
Bert is married to another fellow Richmond Area Art Association member and a very talented watercolor artist and instructor,
Joan.
